It is especially dangerous in those people who has more sensitive colon that strongly reacts not only to certain foods but also to emotional stress and depression. In fact, some researchers have found that there is some link between emotional stress and irritable bowel syndrome symptoms nevertheless.

Besides, stress and depression may cause disorders not only in the colon alone, but also in the whole digestive system. Even according to the statistics, one in five of us suffers from IBS because of this emotional factor.

Our body is very sensitive and reacts to any kind of impacts going from the world around. And stress is not an exception. When we feel stressed or anxious, as a result, our brain begins to release special chemicals in order to help our body for fighting with the existing problem. It is a natural reaction of our organism in such cases. If your stress does not last so long, then your body can manage to overcome any possible disorder and help you relieve your anxiety.

But what if such unpleasant condition will continue for a long time period? Then it may cause very serious problems in the whole system of your organism as well as in the colon. When we go on living with stress or depression for a long time, our brain is continuously producing many chemicals that as a consequence, lead to various problems with our immune system, digestive system, even with our heart.
